My Favorite Fruit

My favorite fruit is Orange. Now, I want to eat orange very much!! But there is not orange in my home. I want my mother to buy oranges. I like orange juice too. When I was little, I like orange not so much. I liked strawberry better that orange. Maybe I ate too many oranges then. If I get oranges, I will eat lying kotatu. Have you ever heard that small size orange is good taste better than big one? This is real story. When I was elementary student, I went to orange farm and I learned about orange. Then the farmer taught me. The small orange is sweet. That reason is I forgot. If you choose orange, you should choose small orange.

My Favorite Day

I have a favorite day in the week. The day is Wednesday. But it is not just Wednesday.
I don’t have part-time job and my club practice. So I can play with my friends on Wednesday. I went to many hot spring places on Wednesday. There are many famous hot springs in Kumamoto. Have you ever heard Kurokawa-onsen? This is very good place but price is little expensive. There is far from downtown of Kumamoto. The other Wednesday, I went to Senrikinoyu. This is in Aso too. When I went to there with my friends, I saw a running star. I was very happy. My friends didn’t saw. But we could many stars. I have free time if I don’t have job and practice.

My Favorite Furniture

My favorite furniture in my home is a kotatu. I think that this is Japanese traditional furniture. Kotatu was used in only winter season and kotatu have many kinds in furniture shops. Traditional kotatu type is low table but new type is high table. So we sit chair. My kotatu is not new type. When I stay home, I almost sit there and I sleep. I like sleeping there but my mother says me “Don’t sleep there!” she worries about me because maybe I will get cold if I sleep at kotatu. But I don’t know that why anyone get cold. I am very happy and comfortable when I sleep at kotatu so I don’t stop sleep at kotatu. Sometimes my mother sleeps at kotatu too!

My favorite car is my aunt’s car. This car is very cool! It is black. The shape is tough and big. There are five seats in the car. Inside the car, it is cool too! I have got the driver license for 1 and half years. I like driving sometime, I drive fast but I think that safety is the best. Now I don’t have my car so I want to get my car. Hello everyone, I’ll talk about my university life and after 25 years. Now I am Kumamoto Gakuen University student and department is foreign language learning. When I high school student, I decided to go to this school. Then I didn’t want to go this school but I didn’t try to know the other school so I chose this school. But now I spend happy life in my university better than I thought.

I study English mainly. I have many classes in a week. Someday, I have first class in the day so I have to get up early. But in the winter, I can’t get up early because in the morning is very cold and I don’t want get out my huton. I late some class of the first. A few teachers are very strictness but almost teacher is not.

I can learn many things in my class. This summer, I had a wonderful time in MN. I have a Kaigaikenshu class so I could go there. I experienced American life there. I thought that this program is very good and I am as a really foreign language learning student to go to the U.S. If I could go there again, I want to speak more and more.

After school, I practice Badminton because I belong to Badminton club in KGU. I have practice five days in a week. I have played Badminton since I was elementary student. In the practice, I don’t have to talk! This is very hard for me but this is rule. Sometime, I have competitions in a year. This year I have four big competitions. I didn’t win because I didn’t practice hard and I went to U.S. Next year, I’ll try to practice hard!

I have a part time job. I introduced my part time job place in Essay; My Favorite Place. I started this job last November so I have worked there for about a year. For this year I have had many occurrences. For example, my coworker had problem with the other coworker. My boss disappeared. These are one of the most. I thought that I resign many times but I continued! I was surprised for me.

I want to take long rest because I’m busy. I have to go school in the morning until evening, after school, I have to go practice despite Wednesday and Saturday and Sunday. But on Wednesday, I have to go my part time job after school. On Saturday, in the morning I have to go practice and evening I have to go my part time job. On Sunday, I can sleep long time in the morning but in the evening, I have to go my part time job!

After 25 years, if I get children, I want them to do what they want. I’ll advice them about you should think carefully what you need and what you want do. I hope University will be more digitally. For example, I can’t go my class because I over slept but I can learn about the class in my home using with my computer. I think that this is very convenience.

I want to tell you about my language learning experience, So far I learned English and German and Japanese so far. I study now. Japanese is my mother tongue so I had to study Japanese in elementary school and junior high school and high school. It’s class was called Kokugo. All Japanese students have to study. English too. Some elementary school doesn’t have the class but almost elementary class has. In university, I could choose one language from some language. For example, French and Spanish. I chose German.

First I’ll talk about my German learning experience. Why I chose German? First I heard my older friends that German is easier than other language. Second German grammar is similar to English grammar. So I decided. I went to the German class last year. The class is little difficult for me. But I have many friends in the class. My friends and I helped each other.

For example, When I was absent the class, next week class I had to do the print of the absent class and I had to hand in the print. That is very terrible and I couldn’t understand what the print mean and show. Then I asked my friends. They helped me and tough the contents so I could understand and I can hand in my print to my teacher.

German has many articles. For example, man article and woman article and neutral article. German verb have each nature so I have to remember that each verb fall under each article. This is very difficult and many!

But I could take the credits of German, so I like German and German accent is very interesting for me. Sometimes I talk with my friends in German. It is really fun. If I have a chance, I want to go Germany.

Next I’ll talk my learning English experience. When I started study English in junior high school, I didn’t like study English very much, because I couldn’t remember English words but I tried recollecting that and I began go to the cram so I could understand English grammar and words. Then I came to like English little.

This summer, I went to Minnesota. I had a wonderful time! I had many worries before went. But my host mother and American teachers and friends are very kind. I love them. When I couldn’t talk my host mother about my school day well, my host mother try understood hard and she tough me some words and sometime I had mistakes for example, when I wanted to say “whale” but I said “whore”. My host mother was very surprised and confused. She said “what??”I noticed I had very much mistake and I corrected myself. She laughed. It was very funny.

I learned English words are similar and little difficult! But I could talk about my school day once more. Then I was very happy.

I am thankful for all people teach me English and many things in America. I think that I have to study English more and more so I’ll go Minnesota again!

Indian movie is cheaper than American movie about three times because Indian movie not use famous actor and actress. But Hollywood movie use famous actor and actress. And Indian movie use same tools and buildings but Hollywood movie use new tools and building each movies. I had never watch Indian movie and I always watch Hollywood movie and Japanese movie. Hollywood movie is interesting for me but I like Japanese movie the best. My favorite Japanese movie is ziburi. My favorite American movie is Arumagedon. This movie is very good and impression. Ziburi is very cute ans funny. All most Japanese children watch. If you can you watch!

Why I choose this passage, I might know this event. I think that protested people were very great. If I was there, I couldn’t join protested group. But I hope there are not discriminations in the world.

One evening in 1893 Gandhi was on train from Durban to Pretoria. He was in first class. The train stopped at Pietermaritzburg in Natal. A white ma got on the train and saw Gandhi. “Get out of here. Coloreds can’t sit in here,” he shouted at him. “But I have a first class ticket,” protested Gandhi. “I am a lawyer. In England I always sit in first class.” “There are no colored lawyers in South Africa,” said the white man. When I read this passage, I felt very sad. In the old day, there was racial discrimination in the world. Gandhi fought against England. He suggested rules. I think that these rules are very good. They wanted find out their country. They had to find India. I knew about Gandhi little because when I was junior high school student, I had to study about him and Indians history. This history is sad for me. Indians were bully by other country like England. My opinion is not correct but this is my idea. England might think that Indians have original religion and culture, they were behind the times. So England did like discrimination. Now I heard there are some discrimination in India because tremendous gap between the rich and the poor. I hope that there are no any discrimination in the world. (Hopkins, 2004, P4)

The waiter arrived at Mr. Bean’s table. He put plate in front of Mr. Bean. The manager smiled and took off the cover. Mr. Bean looked down. And he stopped smiling. There, in front of him, was very large plate-of steak tartare.

Mr. Bean is crazy. I don’t know that his real profile but when I was little, I thought that he is really strange man and he has sick. Now I can understand he acts. I watched his movie and video. My speaking class, I watched his movie and I had to explain in English what he does. But his move was all strange, so this work was very terrible for me. This passage is very funny for me. Before this accident, he wanted to hide his steak because he thought that his steak didn’t cook and raw. But steak was no problem. He tried hid many piece of steak meat. And he almost finished. I like this passage and little sad. I know her because I watched Roman holiday. I like her. She is very cute. I think that she is very noble woman. But when I read this passage, I thought that Audrey Hepburn is just a woman. She is very kind and gentle because if some women were in same situation with Audrey, those women don’t think about the family. My friend was in similar situation. A boy has girlfriend but he fell in love my friend. I asked her “you should stop relation with him even you are hard.” I think sometime man is bad for woman. Man swindle woman. But woman is bad too. I’ll introduce my favorite place. My favorite place is my work place. The name is HERO-umi. This is Izakaya in downtown. This has big aquarium and many fish. I work here after school and weekend. Many guests come here and communication each other, sometime talk with me. And there is many staff. I can feel comfortable when I stay here with my staff members.

This is in Anseimachi-douri and second floor. I have a big flag. This flag was painted fish and ocean and colorful because our shop sell food and drink. Main food is fish. Maybe you can see this flag if you walk this street.

You go up the dark and long stairs and you can see big aquarium and this can put 2ton water in. there is many kinds of fish swimming. These fish are from Ushibuka. Do you know Ushibuka? Ushibuka is in south in Kumamoto and a port town. This is very small and very lonely countryside. But this town can get many kinds of fish!

By the way, the shop have a large earthen floor and big shoe cupboard. You take off your shoes and put the shoe in to the cupboard. The cupboard can receive about 120 shoes. A big hall has twelve tables and counter. Maybe 70 people can use this hall maximum. The counter was decorated many fish and dim lights. There are nine chairs. And I have four private rooms. The smallest room can use six people. Middle two rooms can use 12 people. The biggest room can use 18 people. Those rooms are Japanese style room. And the hallway is very long and dark so some guest say “I like be lost in a maze.” I think so too. But there is very comfortable for me.

I sell foods and drinks. I’m a waiter so I suggest to guest that what the best choice. This shop’s main food is fish dish. I like fish foods. I have many kinds of fish and Sashimi. My favorite food is “Seafood gratin”. This is very delicious and popular among women.

Drinks are almost alcohol. But some soft drinks. The alcohol drinks are cocktails and Bear and Shochu and Sake and Wine and Fruit wine. I want that I’m eating Seafood gratin with drinking cocktail. This is very good time for me but I can’t drink alcohol.

My favorite HERO-umi has many good things for me. For example I like fish and aquarium and dark and dim light. And I love coworker. They are very kind and funny.

My Favorite drink

My favorite drink is milk chocolate. When I went to MN this summer, I drank this drink. In the café at university, I saw this drink but I thought that maybe it is not so much taste. Second I like Scarecrow with no brain and Tin Man with no heart and Cowardly lion. They are very humanity. I sometime become the Scarecrow. Sometime I don’t think anything and I don’t move. I want to just be there. Third the Wizard is funny for me. He is from Kansas too!

He wanted to build new hotel. But a manager said there are many ghosts. But a greedy man is not believed. A ghost manager tried about chased the man out of the hotel. The other ghosts helped ghost manager. But greedy man didn’t move and he schemed about those ghosts use as employee. One day a ghost woman visited the hotel and met greedy man. He was surprised and went out the hotel because the ghost woman is great aunt of the greedy man. He didn’t like her maybe. If I can, I never watch a ghost.

This passage is most interested for me. Monkey thinks that I’m clever enough already and king. But finally Monkey was fooled taken in by Buddha. Monkey was very puzzle. (Dickins, 2007, p.42)

My Days

Hello! last night, I went to Izakaya with my part time job friend. He is a younger than me. I met him last November and he and I are very close friend. Our Boss some times say "you are like brother!" I am glad and funny. But recently we have each trouble in work place. First he tried resign from this part time but he couldn't. The boss persuaded him. I thought that he couldn't resign. His will was very strong but finally he continued. I was very happy. Next I decided quit because I quarreled with coworker in drinking party. I consulted with my boss about this problem and I told my will. My boss said "It cannot be avoided if you hope you can quit"
I was little sad and glad. But next time I got call from my boss and I was persuaded. I had to remain.
Last night we told about these happening and we shared our sad. I had very good time and I think that we have to hang on!

I’ll introduce my favorite place. My favorite place is my work place. The name is HERO-海. This is Izakaya in downtown. This has big aquarium and many fish. I work here after school and weekend. Many guests come here and communication each other, sometime talk with me. And there is many staff. I can feel comfortable when I stay here with my staff members.

This is in Anseimachi-doori and second floor. I have a big flag. This flag was painted fish and ocean and colorful because our shop sell food and drink. Main food is fish. Maybe you can see this flag if you walk this street.

You go up the dark and long stairs and you can see big aquarium and this can put 2ton water in. there is many kinds of fish swimming. these fish are from Ushibuka. Do you know Ushibuka? Ushibuka is in south in Kumamoto and a port town. This is very small and very lonely countryside. But this town can get many kinds of fish!

By the way, the shop have a large earthen floor and big shoe cupboard. You take off your shoes and put the shoe in to the cupboard. The cupboard can receive about 120 shoes. A big hall has twelve tables and counter. Maybe 70 people can use this hall maximum. The counter was decorated many fish and dim lights. There are nine chairs. And I have four private rooms. The smallest room can use six people. Middle two rooms can use 12 people. The biggest room can use 18 people. Those rooms are Japanese style room. And the hallway is very long and dark so some guest say “I like be lost in a maze.” I think so too. But there is very comfortable for me.

I sell foods and drinks. I’m a waiter so I suggest to guest that what the best choice. This shop’s main food is fish dish. I like fish foods. I have many kinds of fish and Sashimi. My favorite food is “Seafood gratin”. This is very delicious and popular among women.

Drinks are almost alcohol. But some soft drinks. The alcohol drinks are cocktails and Bear and Shochu and Sake and Wine and Fruit wine. I want that I’m eating Seafood gratin with drinking cocktail. This is very good time for me but I can’t drink alcohol.

My favorite HERO-海 has many good things for me. For example I like fish and aquarium and dark and dim light. And I love coworker. They are very kind and funny.

I had been here twice before this time.

I thought that I don’t buy shoes.
But I found very cute shoes.

I had got a lot of stuff for me in Minnesota.
But my feed size is big, so in Japanese shoes shop doesn’t treat my feet size.
Finally I decided to buy.
I was very excited.

After that we went to Target.
We talked that “we are target of Target”
I bought my second bag.

This day is shopping day!

I don’t like kids so this time is hard for me.
After school,
I watched a movie.
The movie is UP.
This is Disney movie.

Yesterday, 15 August.
I went to farmer’s market with Kim and Veronica and Maya and Hiromi.
There were many stuff and many people.

After that, we went to U.S. noodle.
This is Japanese food shop.
We had to buy curry ingredients because Maya and I will cook Japanese curry for our host mothers.

After shopping, we went to out let maul again.
Veronica and Kim dropped us there.
And she gave me her phone.
I promised to Veronica, we will meet at Burger King at 4:00.
So we could do shopping free.
But we needed more time for shopping.
So we ask our mothers, so they allowed!
We could do more shopping.
I bought too much.

After shopping, we went to Hiromi’s house because we eat the dinner together.
I was very happy except her cat.
I have allergy of cat.
But the dinner was very goods and yard play was very fun.

This day was super busy but it is very wonderful for me.


Today is Monday. Monday’s morning is not good morning.
It is just morning.
I went to school and Target.
Target is big store in U.S.
There is much stuff.

I bought my clothes and my souvenir.
Target goods are all cheap so I bought too much.
But shopping was very fun!!
We didn’t have much time, so we ran around in Target pushing a shopping cart.
Maybe looks like crazy.

In the dinner,
Maya and I cooked Japanese curry for our host mothers because children cook curry for their mother at Mother’s Day in Japan.
We cooked without measure again.
So curry became too soupy.
But taste was very delish! No problem.
I ate too much and Udon too.
Our mother said “good job and thank you!”
I was very glad and satisfaction.

After dinner we did our homework.
I laughed too much then.
But times fly.
I went to back home.
When Kim and I were going to back home in the car, we talked about one stone killed two birds.
We have to take care our time.

In the morning, I went to Dog Park.

Kim’s brother was coming at home.

This city is birth of Minnesota and pretty city.
We drove to there for one hour by car.

And I bought dress and many goods.
The dress is for me, but other goods are for my friends.
We ate dinner in the dock café.

For example, shops are Tommy and Coach and GAP.
I am not interesting in brand goods.

I spent money almost for souvenir.
There Tommy goods is cheaper than in Japan.
So I was insensitive to the actual value of money.

I walked a lot so I was very tired.
I had lunch in Burger King.
I had eaten foods by myself.
So I was little nervous.
But I could buy I want goods.

After that, I went to shopping again.
Almost students finished shopping.
But some students didn’t finished.
They had many stuff.

When Maya and I got home, Kim gave me snack.
This is like fly rice. The taste is Japanese foods.
So we ate too much.
And I took nap.

I over slept.
I was got up by Kim and soon we went to Deff’s house.
Finally this time come.
I am excited because the screen is very big and sound is like a movie theater.
We watched AVATOR with Veronica and Maya and Deff.
This time was very happy.
Sometimes Kim and Veronica explained us.
So we could understand easy.
I was amazing.

Deff gave me zucchini chocolate cake.
This is strange combination.
But taste is very good!!

Thursday is hardest day in weekday.

This morning Kim made beagle to toast for me.
And I ate honey peanut butter, this was my first taste.

Afternoon, I learned Hmong, they are little mystery group.
Old Hmong can’t speak English and have our community.
But I slept in this class so I couldn’t understand deep.
And I had to write essay.
I was boring.

After school, I heard about Maya and Hiromi and I go to Sushi tonight together by Serasty.
We were surprised and very excited because Hiromi’s host mother is fish allergy,
So Hiromi had abandoned to eat Sushi in Minnesota.

Kim picked us and went to Veronica’s house.
We went to “BENIHANA”.
This is very expensive, I was surprised because Sushi is about 3$.
In Japan, almost cheap Sushi is 1$.
So I felt that Minnesota is inside in the U.S.
There is very fancy shop.
But many handsome men are and look like rich people too.
Hiromi and Maya and I were very happy.
We could eat row fish in Minnesota.
I have to thank to Kim and Veronica.
We had enjoying time then.

After dinner, we went to DQ to eat dessert.
I ate Blizzer.
This ice cream cup has a lot of flavor.
I have eaten strawberry quake flavor
This time I ate Banana pie taste.
Kim ordered too.
Kim said “dangerous taste” before eat.
But this was very good!!
She was little surprised.
And then we did homework.

After that, outside was rainy.
Maybe storm coming.
We went to back each house.

The rest of my home stay is 9 days.
I’m very sad. I want to stay here more.

11. Aug Tue

In the morning, it was rain.
I looked forward to go to Oliver Kelly History Farm.
So I wanted to be sun.

At school I had two classes, I slept.
Second class, I had to write essay, because our schedule changed.
I didn’t think that I went to back Japan.
Eri and Maya thought too.
We watched old essay books.
That really is happy.

We had lunch in the park near Johanna.
The lunch is pizza.
But there are many bee and fly.
The pizzas are very delish.

After that we went to farm by Van.
We took to there for 30 minutes.
The farm is very old.
Today is too hot.
There is a house that was recreated about Oliver Kelly’s house.
That is very dirty and a lot of fly.
The fly couldn’t number and I couldn’t stand.
Some student got feel bad.
I wanted to go back school soon.
I asked Kailey about this farm is every year like this.
She answered “yes”
I was very tired and thought I never go there again.

After that, we went to back Bethel Uni and Veronica took Maya and Hiromi and I to her work because today is picnic of her work.
There are many shows and food places.
But there are also a lot of kids.
Maya and Hiromi and I hung out after ate hot dog.
We ate ice cream too. This is very delish and rich.
I was surprised because everything is also foods are free!!
And we were drawn the picture by painter.
The picture is very cute and became my treasure.

After the picnic,
I said time is fast.
Veronica said time is fly.
So I told her about American joke.
She laughed so I was very glad.

We arrived at her house, Kim already arrived.
Kim and I went to back house.
On the way, we dropped the DC.
I miss understand.
But that problem salved.

At home I used washing machine after took shower.
Now we hung out, watching TV sitting comfortable coach.
I love this time.

Today is Tuesday.
In the morning I had a happening.
When I was eating breakfast, Rolie thrown up all he had eaten in stair.
I was surprised and called Kim.
She came soon and cleaned up that.
I asked her why he did that.
She said maybe outside is too hot, he went back home from take walk and soon eat his breakfast too fast.
I worried about him.
But he looks like fine.

We went to church, and we met Veronica and Maya.
We talked about today’s plan.
And soon Maya and I got on Serasty’s car.
We talked about little and soon got sleep because we were very tired.
Other people picked up.
We arrived at the school and up stairs to class room.

In the morning, I had ESL and another class.
Another class is about Race Issue in America.
This class is very interesting for me.
There are many issues in America.
In America, have many races so there are many cultures.
About 75% people in America is European American (white).
About 12% people in America is African American (black).
I had thought that white population is same with black population.
But in the fact, most is white.
And I learned new words “Melting Pot”
This is not “Salad Bowl”

In the lunch, our schedule was changed by the weather.
Our first schedule is the pizza picnic.
But the weather was rainy.
So we had lunch in class room.

After that, I had a class of Artificial Intelligence(人造人間).
This class is very difficult for me!
Sometime professed used Japanese language, but I couldn’t understand.
I could understand little. That is about real robot is very scared.

After this class, we played Bunko!
Do you know this game?
This game is very easy but is explain very hard.
We couldn’t understand first game.
But we tried many times so we could play this game.
I got the price because I had twice Bunko.
I was very glad.

When I went to back home, it was very heavy rain.
Maya was sleeping in the car.
But Serasty and I couldn’t see front glass.
She taught me about many things.
This rain was uncommon in Minnesota at August.
And I know she likes rainy day.
I don’t like rainy day because rainy make me gloomy.

In church, Veronica was waiting.
Kim was not there because she went car shopping.
Today she gets new car!
So I got on Veronica’s car and went to her house.
On the way we picked up Rolie.
He was very nervous and hided in the closet because he doesn’t like lightning and sunder.

I had the dinner at her house but Kim was not.
We hung out. She gave me dessert.
That dessert was very good!
I want to bring back to Japan the dessert.

9:30, Kim came to Veronica’s house.
So we went to back home, and took shower.
After that, I talked Kim about many things.
And Kim taught me this week’s plan.
I was very excited.
I really don’t back to Japan.

9. Aug Mon

Today is Monday, I don’t like Monday.
Monday is weekday’s first.

This morning I ate banana bread.
The banana bread was made by Kim and me.
Kim and I got ready and were out to house.
We thought that we are No1 because we didn’t see Veronica’s car.
But just time she showed up.
We didn’t No1.
And Sarasty came there.
Maya and I got on Sarasty’s car and went to school.

I had two classes in the morning.
Second class is very interesting.
Teacher is a Japanese woman.
She is from Kagoshima, very close from Kumamoto.
I was very glad.
She talked us about her experiences in Minnesota.
This class was very funny.
Almost students spoke Japanese.
She taught us about learning English has 3 levels.

First level
We listen to English and next we change English to Japanese and thought about that mean in brain,
Next we thought answer in Japanese so we changed that Japanese to English finally we say reply in English.

Second level
We listen to English and think about that mean in brain,
And we think that answer in Japanese and say in English.

Third level

We can understand in English.
Don’t need change.


In the lunch, Maya and Eri and I ate rice!
We promised to bring the rice today on Friday.
So we used microwave and ate!
We were very happy and rice was very good!
School café had the pizzas and other foods.
I ate the pizza too.
Then a man came to us.
He got talk us in Japanese.
We were surprised and excited.
He is 22 years old, and part time at school.
He has learned Japanese for three months.
His Japanese is very good and wonderful.
We had good time.

After that we had two classes in afternoon.
First I learned about Harriet Bishop.
She became St. Paul’s first public school teacher when , in 1847.
She was born in Vermont.
This class’s teacher is actor.
She is really like teacher.
My friend had thought that she is real teacher.
So I taught her about that.
The teacher is very cute but little scared.
She often picked up some students and took them front.
Some students had to help with her.
She is very good.
One student got punishment.
That was very funny.

Next class is boring for me.
I was sleeping in the class.

I went to back home.
I took a little nap.
And I got ready to go Veronica’s house.
Every Monday, we have dinner together.
Today is BLT! I love this.
I ate BLT and Butamen.
This is Japanese noodle.
Then I said I would like go shopping to outlet plaza with Maya and Hiromi?
I was little worry. But Kim said OK! No problem.
I got happy.

After dinner we did homework and hung out.
Maya made a scrapbook. She had a lot of pictures in around room.
Kim asked me “do you want to make a scrapbook like this?”
I said this is too big. I can’t make till next week.
She thinks so.

Kim and I went to back home.
And she showed me Tornado yesterday in Minnesota.
That is very big and terrible.
My mother sent me e-mail.
She worried about me, because Japanese broadcasted the Tornado.

Today, I go to Minnesota in America.
I’m Kaigaikensyu student. This is my first experience going to my foreign country.
So I’m very excited.

Sometimes I get e-mail from my host family.
Her name is Kim.
She is 32 years old and lives alone.
I think she is career woman. And she likes walking with her dog. The dog is Rolie.
Rolie is bigger than my dog. I have a dog. He is small and not smart.
But I love him.

I get up 7:00. And get ready something.
7:30 I go to Kumamoto air port with my parents.
8:45 many students come and talking with each other.
Then I see Maya and Eri, Ayano.
They are my friends. Maya and Eri go to U.S. together.
But Ayano doesn’t go. She sees us off.
And Ayano give me a gift which is from Saeko and Mie.
The gift is very interesting goods.
It is Ball pen and cutter knife, grip and letter.
I was laughed very much.
We say to Ayano bye-bye and get ready any procedure of embarkation.
This is very terrible for me, because I have a big and heavy suitcase and handbags.
But I could.

We arrive at Haneda air port in Tokyo. Soon we go to Narita air port by bus.
Sometimes we have break so I think that I can’t eat rice ball in America.
I eat rice ball and Ikura.

We arrived at Narita air port. It is very big.
I think this is like foreign country.
We have to something and finished and take delta air plane.
This is very big and narrow. A lot of people take.
We take 11hours. I’m very tired. Maya is very fine.
I sometime sleep but uncomfortable.
We have four times in-flight meal.
This is so-so. I think better．

We arrived at Minneapolis air port.
There are many people.
They have to do many checks to into country.
We spent a lot of boring time.

Then everything finished, we meet each host families.
They are waiting for us. And welcome. I’m very excited.
My host family, Kim is there. I’m very glad.
Maya’s host family is Veronica.
She and Kim is close friend. So we go to lunch together.
And Susan and her daughter and Hiromi.
She says let go lunch in Mexican restaurant to Maya and me.
I have never been there. So what is Mexican food?
They take us to there. There is very pretty restaurant.
And I ate Mexican foods.
It is very good and delicious.

After that I went to host family’s house.
This is in Champlin. I got into the house and I was explained many things.
For example, how to use bathroom and many goods.
I was very excited and soon we went to picnic of school.
We went to central park. There are very beautiful lake and bench and barbecue sets.
And almost exchange student and their host family came there.
We had music concert.
That was very good.

After the concert we went back home.
We ate the dinner and took shower.
I went to bed.

This is my first day in Minnesota.

8. Aug Sun.

Today I got up 8o’clock and went to Dog Park.
I had thought that Maya comes. But she didn’t come.
Kim and Def and Veronica and I went.
There are a lot of green.
I think that Minnesota doesn’t have mountain and ocean, but there is a lot of green and animals.

We took walk and refresh.
Dogs became crazy, running around and jump in river.
That is really funny.

Kim and I went back home.
We cooked banana bread!
This is my first experience.
I was very excited.
Kim told me about how to cook and navigated.
Banana bread is very popular and almost home made.
I cooked and baked.
This is very good taste!!!
I love banana bread next morning I decided to eat.

Then I went to beach with Kim and her sister and her niece.
Her niece is twelve years old. She is very cute and kind.
Her sister is similar to Kim.
The beach is popular and a lot of people.
The beach isn’t natural but very clean.
Every one swam and enjoyed.
Water is very good and comfortable.
Sunny is too hot but we could dry soon.
We ate sandwich and vegetable and fruits in lunch at beach and took a nap.
That is very good! I love there.

Her sister asked me that which do you want live Japan or America?
I had little time and answered.
Sometimes I want to live in Japan but, sometime I want to live in America because I want to eat row fish. There is not row fish.
She laughed.

3o’oclock, we went back home and I changed my swim suit and clothes.
Kim and I watched the movie. The movie is Wolle.
Do you know this movie?
I have never seen this movie.
Sometimes Kim explained story to me so I could this story.
And middle of the movie, we ate ice cream.
I was very relaxing, Kim too.
I love this movie.

We finished watching the movie, suddenly TV channel changed and broadcasting about Tornado.
That was very big Tornado and crushed someone’s house.
I was surprised. But Kim said down stair.
Rolie was very nervous.
We saw crazy American. He went to out. Outside was rainy and windy.
Kim said that is crazy American.

We ate dinner. Today’s dinner is leftover.
But I like every things so no problem.

After dinner I was showed picture of Minnesota in winter.
This is very fun. I want to go Minnesota in winter.
There was a lot of snow.

I took shower
Now I’m hanging out in my room. Kim is calling.
And my mother sent me E-mail.
She said this morning, broadcasted about Minnesotan tornado in Japan.
Are you OK?
I sent I’m very OK.

I love this life.
Tomorrow is Monday. I’m very sad. Weekday is boring.
Weekend is seven havens.
Maybe next night I am going to go Veronica’s house and have BLT.
I’m looking forward eat this.

Today is Saturday! I’m looking forward to come this day from Monday.

I have Thanks giving day tonight.
This is usual hold on November forth Thursday.
But Veronica and Kim and Susan held this for us.


Today I seemed to go to Dog Park.
But this morning was rainy.
I got up 8 o’clock and out to my room.
I met Kim and she said it is rainy so we can’t go to Dog Park.
You can sleep more!

I went back my room and slept.
I slept long time…
I got up 11:30! Almost 12:00.
I was surprised and down stair.
Kim was cleaning Riving room.
I said “good morning…”
Kim said “good afternoon! Are you hungry?”
I said “No.” but almost 12o’clock so I had lunch.

Today lunch is macaroni cheese.
This is popular food in America.
A lot of American kids love this.
Kim told me this.
I love this too. Very cheese!

After lunch we got ready look at car.
Her car has broken.
She took shower and I brushed my teeth and hair set.

We went to car shop.
And we did test drive!
I was sleeping while test drive.
She seems to almost decide to buy the one car.

After that we went back home.
In the car we talked. I said “Okidoki is similar to Japanese words”
She said “what is the words?” I said “DokiDoki”
Don’t you think too??
I taught her about this mean. She said “I am DokiDoki!!”
I asked her “why??!” she said “I’ll buy my new car! How much I pay!!”
I laughed.

We arrived at home and soon went to Veronica’s house!
Thanks giving day hold in her house.
Hiromi and her host family already arrived.
They were cooking for dinner.
I had to cook mash potato and sweet potato and something with Kim.
This is team work! Kish said.
I cut many potatoes and sweet potato mashed.
I was very hungry.
I wanted eat soon!
But many foods put to oven and bake.

I waited long time…
All dishes cooked and set on the table.
There are a lot of foods.
Then Kim and Veronica and Susan told us about thanks giving day before eat.
We started eat.
Every dishes are very delish!
I’m soon full. Turkey is delish.
Veronica taught me “turkey makes us sleepy”

After dinner Hiromi and Maya and I hung out outside.
We talked many things.
We have come here for two weeks. And our American life.
That is very good time.

Then Kim came and sung “doumo arigato Mr.Roboto”
We don’t know this song so looked for.
You tube has this song.
We listened to this song.
We know this song!!! This song is very famous but I don’t know what singing.
That is really funny!!

Dessert is pies.
These are Apple pie and pumpkin pie.
I put ice cream to the pies.
This is alamode! I stuffed!!!

Kim and I went back home about 10o’clock.
Soon I took shower and will sleep.

Today is very special day.
My experience in America is very precious days.
I have last two weeks. I want do more experiences.

2010 8/2

Hello today I got about 7 o’clock and got ready to go school.
I have to wash my face and put my contact in my eyes.
That terrible if I wake up. And 7:30 Maya came my home. She was took Veronica.
Veronica had work early morning so she went to work soon. I didn’t see in the morning.
When Maya came to my home, I was getting ready some.
And after that I down stairs, Maya and Kim almost ate breakfast.
I ate breakfast, two pieces toast and orange and mango taste yoghurt, milk.
The yoghurt taste is very good!! I have never eaten taste.
Maya and I finished and brushed my teeth.

We got ready go out, we went to glade reef of church 8:00.
Outside is little hot but I like temperatures.
Kim took us to the church and got off.
Today Maiko was not here. So Kim was very worried.
She called our driver, Jeff.
He was little late but soon came.
He said I don’t know where Maiko is.
Maya and I said bye-bye to Kim and got to van.
We went to school little late.

Joel is not today. After I heard he goes to New York because he has society.
In the morning we had ESL.
Today , first I learned about coins of America.
A lot of years ago each state has each coin. So they made same coin.
I saw a lot of coin of each other states. That very cool!!
Second what do you do this situation?
I was very interested this topic, because sometime I have same situation in life.
Most important thing is always honest your mind. I think this.
So you can salves some terrible.

In the afternoon,
I went to central park. I went to this park on first day.
I ate lunch. I made sandwich hum and vegetable of croissant. This croissant smell is very good!!! I want to eat just croissant.
I ate this and grapes and cookies. Always I think American cookies too sweet to Japanese.
And then I saw a wild squirrel. This is my first experience that see squirrel.
I was very glad. It is very cute and small.

After the lunch I went to senior center by school bus. Eri and I got to this back seat.
There is very hopping. So we were very excited.

Senior center is very clean and many old people.
I was presentation about Japanese culture and Origami. That was very boring for me.
When I make Crain by Origami, old women is sleeping! Eri whispered to me ‘’She is sleeping!’’ and told her ‘’Are you sleeping?!’’ she said ‘’no!’’ I was very funny!!!

I FINISHED THAT AND GO BACK THE SCHOOL. I WAS VERY TIRED.
ARRIVED AT SCHOOL, ALMOST GO BACK HOME SO I WAS SOMPURED.
Eri and Maya and I up stairs and talked. And down stairs.
Maya and I got to van. We said bye-bye to Eri. She always last.

We got off the church and Veronica came soon.
She picked up us and took animal hospital.
Her dog, jenny has to go hospital for periodic medical examination.
American animal hospital is very clean. And it is large.

Finished got home,

Kim was at home. And we quickly went to Veronica’ s house.
because every Monday we have dinner together.

Today, special day! Maya and I cook Japanese food! ‘’ Oyakodon’’
This is easy.
We use soy sauce and mirin and dashi.
I always cook no measure.
First Veronica and Kim watched us very careful. And they said any things.
But they resigned to say. Maya and I cook about deal of seasonings.
And cut onions and chicken beat four eggs.
Almost finish it is looks like very good!!

And we ate… I think this is very good Maya too.
Veronica and Kim said good!! I was very glad.
Veronica told us that before exchange student cooked this but then they couldn’t cook well.

You are good job! And I am happy! Kim said too.

After dinner we hung out.

And do homework. Today is quiz.

Maya and I were taught English by our host mother.

We spent enjoy time together.
We ate ice cream at Desert. That is Hagen Dart.
This is rich. Kim and I back home.
And I took shower and got ready to sleep.
When I almost finished got ready to sleep,

Kim told me "I’m very sad you go back home in Japan."

I’m glad. But I am little sad. I think that this time can be forever.
We talked and played with Rolie. I think that I have to use time more important.
I sleep.
